Planning to tie the knot? Congratulations. Weddings are very important milestones in peoples’ lives… and this does not apply to the couple getting married but also to their families and close friends.

Investing in good photography can be one of the best decisions you’ll ever make, because in the future, you will want to look at those pictures over and over again. You will want to have one of the best moments of your life to be captured beautifully. You will want your pictures to be beautiful and precious enough to last your lifetime, and maybe, even last beyond your own life, to be passed as priceless heirlooms for the next generations to come.

As a photographer and a newly-married man myself, I understand the stress and anxiety couples undergo during the preparation and on the wedding day itself. I personally think that the role of the photographer is to make sure that every phase of the wedding is captured beautifully with the least stress on the couple and minimal disturbance to everyone. A photographer ‘blends’ in, observes and takes pictures in the background, and is immediately ready whenever anybody needs a picture taken here and there.

Sure, portraits of the bride, groom and entourage are important, but it should not take too much time to allow everybody to simply enjoy every minute of the wedding without being too self-conscious of someone snapping their pictures.
